Intellectual property

The website, application, logo, copy, visuals and technical materials are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.

Personal data and consent

Videos created with Frame Record remain processed locally on your Mac or Windows PC. Account data required to operate the service may be processed by Frame Record and its technical providers.

Website audience measurement remains disabled until you accept it. Once permitted, Frame Record may retain for no longer than 13 months the IP address and its cryptographic fingerprint, page viewed, date, country when supplied by the host, referring domain, and a download’s source, release version and device category. This information is restricted to the administrator and used only to measure and improve Frame Record. There are no advertising cookies, advertising-network disclosures or cross-site tracking. “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals are respected.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser. You can change it or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Privacy choices” button available on the website. Refusing does not prevent browsing or downloading.

The application also sends a pseudonymous installation identifier, its version and limited functional events — first launch, recording, editor opening, export request, paywall display and payment steps. When a user chooses to answer the abandonment survey, the selected reason is also sent. No video, image or audio content, project title, edited text or activity performed in other applications is transmitted.

Installation and managed devices

The macOS version of Frame Record is not yet Apple-signed or notarised. The Windows version is not yet Authenticode-signed and may therefore show a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning. Some work, school or organisation-managed devices enforce security policies that block unverified applications.

Users must confirm that they have the required permission before installing or purchasing. Frame Record cannot guarantee that administrator restrictions can be bypassed and is not responsible for blocks caused by those external policies.
