Create an unlisted YouTube Live stream
In YouTube Studio, create a stream and select Unlisted for the test. Copy the stream key without publishing it or including it in a screenshot.
Match quality to the source
In Auto, a 2560 × 1440 source can favor 1440p60 when the encoder and connection support it. Otherwise, 1080p60 is a practical balance for most screens.
Use the YouTube Studio preview
Before going public, check video, computer sound and microphone in the preview. Also watch bitrate warnings and dropped frames in Frame Record.
After the broadcast
Stop LIVE in Frame Record, then confirm the stream has ended in YouTube Studio. Replay a section with voice and system sound to verify synchronization.
What Frame Record actually includes
- Full display, window and custom-area recording
- System audio and optional microphone
- Editable zooms and non-destructive timeline
- Local processing and H.264 MP4 export
